🎨 Year-round painting classes – Flemish and Dutch techniques

Period : October 2026 to June 2027 (excluding school holidays)
Location : in the countryside, 1 hour from Paris by train
Frequency : 1/2 day of lessons per week (3h)

🧭 Educational objective

This annual cycle proposes a progressive training to the pictorial techniques practised in the old workshops of the 15th-17th century.
The student is guided step by step, from the preparation of the support to the final layers of ice, according to a rigorous craft logic.

🖌️ Content of the programme

• Manufacture and application of skin glue, gesso, traditional coatings
• Manufacture of mediums: cooked oil, varnishes, old mixtures
• Establishment of the preparatory drawing
• Construction of paint by thin layers (glacis)
• Study of ancient works and realization of one or more partial copies

🏡 Location and framework

The courses take place in a workshop in the countryside, 1h from Paris by train, in a quiet and studious atmosphere.

• Groups limited to 6–10 people
• Accessible equipped kitchen

🧾 Procedure and registration

• Equipment provided : panel, mediums, pigments, recipes
